The latest U.S. Labor Department’s Bureau of Labor Statistics have come out and an analysis by the Insurance Information Institute President Robert Hartwig shows that the insurance industry lost 7,400 jobs from August to September. This announcement follows a trend of declining employment during the same time period dating from 2001.
In particular, agent and broker employment fell by 3,400 jobs during this time period ending at a total of 638,300. Click here to read the entire article.
