The company named Senior Vice Presidents Chip Manozzi and Eva Durkan to run the new Boston office
Lockton is now operational in Boston. The insurance brokerage firm announced earlier this month that it has opened an insurance brokerage office in Boston that will expand the company’s commercial insurance operations throughout the area. Lockton, begun in 1966 in Kansas City, MO, is currently the largest privately owned brokerage firm in the world and the ninth largest overall. It currently employs more than 4,900 people globally and boasts some 35,000 clients. Currently, the firm is working out of its temporary headquarters at 60 State Street, 7th Floor, in Boston with plans to move to a more permanent location by summer’s end.
“This expansion by Lockton Northeast into Boston furthers our goal of providing a significant global insurance advisory alternative to middle market and multinational companies seeking insurance and employee benefits solutions,” said Michael Calabrese, Chairman of Lockton’s Northeast U.S. operations.
Former Wells Fargo Insurance Services executives and risk management veterans, Chip Manozzi and Eva Durkin, will manage the new Boston office. Both Mr. Manozzi and Ms. Durkin have been named Senior Vice Presidents at the brokerage firm.
An Andover resident and graduate of Lesley College, Mr, Manozzi has been an insurance advisor and broker for over 30 years. He will supervise and manage business development and client strategy for Lockton in Boston.
Ms. Durkin, will be responsible for client relations, carrier negotiations, and insurance program management for Lockton in Boston. Ms. Durkin has more than 20 years experience in managing risk management and property-casualty insurance programs for global and national companies.
“Chip Manozzi and Eva Durkin are highly regarded risk management professionals who will help our clients make educated insurance and risk management decisions,” said Tim Ryan, Chief Operating Officer of Lockton’s Northeast U.S. Operations. “Lockton is well-established in Boston with many clients in the region already. Opening our office here puts us in a better position to serve our clients. We look forward to growing our business in New England and continuing to expand our capabilities and resources in Boston.”
