Erin Ayers was Editor-in-Chief of The Standard for the last 14 years
In The Standard’s April 18th issue, long-time Editor-in-Chief Erin Ayers announced her decision to leave New England’s oldest insurance weekly. In her last column she wrote:
“Every week, I’ve viewed it as my goal to bring New England’s insurance world the type of news that it needs – with a healthy dose of humor and pop culture references, of course. It’s been a marvelous, illuminating, educational, and fulfilling time. Thank you. –ELA“
We believe many in the Massachusetts insurance industry would agree, and so with those others we wish her the best of luck in the next chapter of her insurance career as she takes on the role of Networks Editor at Advisen, a global insurance insurance market data and business information company that provides commercial insurance companies, brokers, and corporate risk managers underwriting tools and market data analysis.
The search for a new Editor-in-Chief of The Standard begins
In the wake of Ms. Ayers departure, The Standard has now begun the search for a new Editor-in-Chief to helm the 149-year old publication. In the interim, The Standard’s Editorial Director, Robert Montgomery, CPCU, has taken over as a Guest Editor until a successor for Ms. Ayer can be found.
Published continuously since 1865, The Standard is an insurance news magazine for the New England insurance professional. Interested applicants for the Editor-in-Chief position should contact Susanne Dillman.
