SAN President and CEO Matt Masiello addressed more than 500 insurance industry professionals at the company’s 2013 Business Meeting
New Hampshire-based Satellite Agency Network, Inc. or SAN is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. The company is one of the leading alliances of independent insurance agencies in the Northeast will over 325 member agencies and in excess of $500 million in total member premiums. To mark the occasion, the company offer a bevy of events during its annual Business Meeting on April 30th in Worcester.
“This event, our 30th, brings together all the professional organizations and individuals that do business with SAN to network, gather new opportunities, share experiences, and applaud hard work and success…Each year,” says President and CEO Robert Masiello, “our membership increases, the economy changes, and technology creates new ways to conduct business. Our members need efficient and modernized tools to adjust their business plans and propel their agencies in the marketplace, regardless of the current industry cycle or overall economic environment. This yearly summit displays all the benefits of a SAN membership. No matter what the stage of their agency development, there is something for everyone.”
To highlight SAN’s longevity, the company invited Space Shuttle Commander Rick Searfoss to address its annual agents gathering. Mr. Searfoss, an astronaut, top gun pilot, and entrepreneur, gave a speech entitled “Overcoming Adversity” which touched on the key issues of business success and growth in challenging times. In addition to the keynote address and dinner finale, the SAN Business meeting also offered a trade show with 56 booths staffed by a variety of sponsors and four industry related workshops. At the end of the day, SAN presented six awards to its top six industry performers as well as honoring member agencies anniversaries with the alliance.
