Eastern Insurance is the largest insurance agency located in Massachusetts
Natick-based Eastern Insurance Group announced this week that it had added five new insurance executives to its ranks. This latest announcement follows on the heels of the company’s announcement in April that it had acquired the Smith, Buckly & Hunt Insurance Agency of Brockton. “Eastern Insurance has steadily grown in size, offering robust solutions in the areas of personal and commercial insurance, along with employee benefits services and more,” said Hope Aldrich, President and CEO of Eastern Insurance. “We’re excited to add these five local insurance pros to our lineup to better serve new and existing customers.”
Eastern Insurance Group is a subsidiary of Eastern Bank, which is the largest independently, mutually owned bank in New England. The bank’s insurance agency is the largest insurance agency in Massachusetts but ranks as the 48th largest Insurance Agency in the nation.
The five new Eastern Insurance Executives
The following is a list of the five new executives joining the Eastern Insurance Group.
Gregory Grintchenko, CISR, Senior Vice President, Personal Lines Sales Manager
A Milford native, Mr. Grintchenko has been hired as Eastern’s new Senior Vice President, Personal Lines Sales Manager. In this position, he will be responsible for developing and growing the agency’s personal lines book of business. Prior to joining Eastern, Mr. Grintchenko worked for MetLife where he was responsible for agent growth, profitability and management in both Massachusetts and Vermont.
Anthony J. Murphy, Senior Vice President, Employee Benefits Sales Executive
Mr. Murphy joins Eastern as its new Senior Vice President, Employee Benefits Sales Executive where his primary responsibilities will include growing the company’s employee benefits business for the middle market. A native of Hudson, Mr. Murphy spent the previous seven years as a senior sales executive for Tufts Health Plan before joining Eastern.
David James, Assistant Vice President, Personal Lines Sales Executive
Mr. James of Chelmsford has joined Eastern as an Assistant Vice President, Personal Lines Sales Executive. His prior work experience includes positions at both Liberty Mutual and MetLife. In his new position with Eastern, Mr. James will be responsible for growing the personal lines book of business of the company as well as strengthening Eastern’s relationships with its customers by working closely with Eastern Bank employees in order to promote greater awareness about Eastern Insurance’s products and services.
J. Christopher Madden, Assistant Vice President, Personal Lines Sales Executive
Mr. Madden has joined Eastern Insurance as an Assistance Vice President, Personal Lines Sales Executive. In his new position, he will develop sales leads and help to grow the agency’s personal lines book of business. A Waltham native, Mr. Madden joins Eastern from MetLife where he worked in the insurer’s sales division.
Monica Quintal, Assistant Vice President, Personal Lines Sales Executive
Ms. Quintal, of Methuen, is now an Assistant Vice President, Personal Lines Sales Executive for Eastern Insurance. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Ms. Quintal joins Eastern from Liberty Mutual and will be responsible for working with Eastern Insurance employees at various branches in order to help them grow the company’s personal lines business.
