The Boston Housing Authority has announced that it is accepting bids for a Public Officials Liability/Employment Practices Liability insurance program for a one year period beginning on December 1, 2014. The bid is open to any and all qualified agents, brokers, and insurers. Please note that the BHA has asked that a proposer’s request for the assignment of markets be received by the agency no later that 2:00PM on October 3, 2013. Any questions on the bid must be submitted to the BHA in writing no later than October 10, 2014. Here is the specific information directly from the BHA website:
RFP # 1129-01 Public Officials Liability Insurance
The Boston Housing Authority (“BHA”) invites qualified agents, brokers, and insurers to submit proposals for a Public Officials Liability/Employment Practices Liability (“POL/EPL”) insurance program for a 12 month term commencing December 1, 2014. The policy is estimated at $51,000.
All respondents should familiarize themselves with certain statutory limitations of liability which may be afforded to the BHA, its instrumentalities and employees pursuant to MGL Chapter 258 and MGL Chapter 231. Proposals will be subject to approval and award by the BHA. Proposals will be irrevocable for a period of thirty (30) days from the date of receipt. Proposers’ requests for the assignment of markets must be received no later than 2:00PM on 10/3/2014. Written questions ONLY must be received 10/10/2014. Proposals must be received at the above address no later than 2:00PM on 10/31/2014. The BHA reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive any and all informalities.
