What type of positions is State Fund looking to fill?
All kinds. We have a variety of open positions on our Management, Sales, and Marketing Teams.
What type of qualifications do I need?
While we are happy to discuss opportunities with anyone interested in starting a career in insurance, the following qualifications are needed for the current positions we are looking to fill:
- A current and valid Massachusetts insurance license
- Approximately 3-10 years’ experience in the Property and Casualty industry
- Expert knowledge of Personal Lines products
- Proficiency in computer, windows-based programs, AMS knowledge a plus!
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- An ability to think critically, solve problems, serve clients and embrace new challenges
Another important thing to know is that ours is a dynamic agency with a lot of opportunity for growth. We are looking for candidates who really are willing, ready, and able to play a key part in the direction of our firm. This will include attending monthly board meetings as well as taking the initiative on growth projects.

We offer two other interesting opportunities for our long-term employees. The first is the possibility to work remotely, after at least five years with the agency. The second is, in addition to our Boston office, all employees have the option of transferring to our Orlando, Florida office.
