My agency is growing, and I am thinking of hiring an experienced commercial lines account executive who has the ability to work directly with the agency principal and manage not only our commercial lines department but also assist managing the agency.
The ideal candidate will have:
At least 8-10 years of commercial lines customer service experience with a record of success;
Strong oral and written communication skills, and be “effectively detailed”;
Strong working knowledge of Applied TAM and Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.);
MUST be familiar with most types of commercial insurance and personal products;
Must have the ability to prioritize and self-manage a large workload within specific service level standards as well as train your assistants;
Professional designations, accounting or bookkeeping experience are a plus.
Handling an established book of business and perform all duties related to servicing that book – renewals, policy processing, policy changes, Invoicing, and audit reviews, for both standard market and surplus lines accounts;
Remarket and account round existing clients;
Review and recommend coverages;
Handle and supervise the rating of new business accounts – compare, quote and market to carriers as needed;
Supervise the issuance of Certificates of Insurance and verify proper coverage requirements for contractual obligations;
Supervise and follow-up on Claims and Preparation of RMV forms;
Have the experience and ability to read contracts to determine insurance needs;
Experience with Contractors a plus.
