Travelers of Massachusetts, a/k/a Premier, unveiled its New Car Discount which provides savings of up to five percent on auto collision coverage for new vehicles. The company says that it will apply to vehicles less than three years old with the level of discount based on the car’s model year.
“Buying a new car is a significant investment and we’re pleased to offer customers a way to save money and have peace of mind with auto insurance coverage,” said Dick Welch, President and CEO of Travelers of Massachusetts. “There are many important decision to make in the new car buying process, and insurance considerations should be at the forefront of the decision making process.”
The company says data from the Registry of Motor Vehicles is what precipitated this move, with the RMV saying that new car purchases in the Commonwealth are expected to exceed the 2010 year-end total of 310,547 vehicles by some seven percent.
In addition to the New Car Discount, Travelers/Premier is also offering Accident Forgiveness. “Accidents can happen to even the safest drivers, and when they do, expenses can escalate, says Welch. “With Accident Forgiveness, we are rewarding our loyal customers with good driving histories by providing savings following their first at-fault automobile accident.” This will be offered to those customers who have been with Travelers for at least four years and are free of any accidents, violations and/or major comprehensive claims.
