Brownstone Insurance rolled out its re-designed broker dedicated website last week, www.brownstoneinsurancebrokers.com. For those not familiar with Brownstone, the company provides master insurance for condos, apartments, multi-family homes and townhouses. The company has been insuring multi-unit buildings since 1982 and writes policies in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut.
The newly designed website features an array of services and options for brokers who work with Brownstone, including both online quote and chat applications. The online quote capability offers brokers the ability to conduct a quote indication via the website within 30 minutes and includes same-day processing and electronic issuance of policies. The chat application gives brokers the ability to instantly connect with Brownstone from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Elizabeth Cincotta, Director of Brownstone’s New Media and Customer Communications explains, ” The convenience of being able to go to our website, fill out a short form and receive a quote indication with 30 minutes is an important convenience which I think our brokers appreciate. And the live chat application allows today’s busy broker to chat live with one of our Program Underwriters on their laptop, smart phone or desktop, without having to pick up the phone.”
Brownstone also has uploaded all of its forms to the newly designed site including its official Brownstone Insurance brochure and Property Manager Program booklet. Brokers can now log onto the site, download an application and return it via email or fax or download its brochures to help educate their clients about Brownstone and what it has to offer.
Cincotta explained that her decision to redesign the site came about after successfully redesigning the main website www.brownstoneinsurance.com last year.
Brownstone Insurance actually always had a dedicated broker site located at www.brownstoneinsurancebrokers.com. The site you see now is a total redesign of it, however. The old site was created in WordPress, which just limited what I was able to do with it design-wise and in terms of tracking activity. I redesigned our main website, www.brownstoneinsurance.com about a year ago using Squarespace, which I found to be a very user-friendly content management system. It also allows for much more in-depth tracking of users’ activity, so I decided to move the broker site over to Squarespace to allow cohesive branding and better tracking. Better tracking allows me to understand the needs of website visitors so I can make adjustments and improve the site going forward.
The ultimate goal of the redesign she adds is simply to make brokers working with them look like experts in the realm of master insurance and to make doing business with Brownstone easy.
We provide numerous educational opportunities for brokers, through our blog entries, monthly e-newsletters and social media responsiveness, which help ensure that our brokers have all the knowledge and tools at their fingertips to help serve their clients.
