CAR’s Loss Reserving Committee Meeting will hold its next meeting on March 7, 2012. It will begin at 10:00 at the CAR offices. The Loss Reserving Committee is in charge of reviewing the quarterly loss development data for private passenger and commercial ceded business. It examines this data in order to determine “…the incurred by not reported loss reserves, which are used in the Member Participation Reports.”
In its Notice of Meeting, the Committee said it would be reviewing the following:
- Staff will review quarterly adjustments to losses or premiums necessitated by data reporting problems;
- The accident year loss reserve indications for the ten loss development pools should be reviewed and finalized;
- The Committee should review and finalize the preliminary report to the Governing Committee for the quarter ending December 31, 2011;
- The Committee should review the ultimate policy year projections valued at the quarter ending December 31, 2011;
- To transact any other business that may properly come before the Committee.
