Michael B. Driscoll and James J. Moran have joined the Board of Directors of Coverys, the medical professional liability company based in Boston. The two gentlemen were elected during the company’s annual meeting.

Heisler, M.D., FACS, chairman of the Board of Directors for Coverys. “Mr. Driscoll’s agency expertise, most particularly in the arena of professional liability, will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing communication with our many constituencies; likewise, Mr. Moran’s depth of insurance leadership experience will be a superb asset to the company as we continually work to develop new products in an evolving healthcare landscape. Michael B. Driscoll
Mr. Driscoll is the president of MD Insurance Services, Inc. The agency which specializes in medical professional liability insurance was founded in 1910 and currently operates as Crosbie-MacDonald Insurance. Earlier in his career, Mr. Driscoll was an insurance broker for both Rush-Kent Insurance and Bowher’s Agency. Mr. Driscoll is a graduate of Boston University and is also a certified Licensed Insurance Advisor. He is a member of the Massachusetts Association of Insurance Agents, the South Shore Independent Insurance Agents Association and the South Shore Chamber of Commerce.

James J. Moran
Mr. Moran currently serves as the senior vice president, secretary and general counsel of Quincy Mutual Fire Insurance Company and New England Mutual Insurance Company. Prior to joining the Quincy Mutual Group in 2001, Mr. Moran was the president of Eastern Casualty Insurance Group for three years. Mr. Moran began his career in the law and was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 1978. He practiced insurance law for 20 years and was a senior partner with Morrison, Mahoney LLP specializing in representing both insurance companies and agents.
Mr. Moran, who is a graduate of both Boston College and Boston College Law School is also a Chartered Property-Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and an Associate in Reinsurance (ARe). In addition to serving on the Coverys Board of Directors, he is also the Chairman of the Board of the Massachusetts Insolvency Fund, and a director of both the Massachusetts Insurance Federation and the South Shore Chamber of Commerce.
