Chartered in 1940, the Massachusetts Association of Insurance Women is still going strong with its mission to provide opportunities for women to both further their education and alliances within the Massachusetts insurance industry.
Currently, the organization has eight chapters that meet regularly throughout the year in different regions of the Commonwealth. In addition, members also got together in May of this year when the MAIW held its annual meeting in Wakefield. The annual meeting offered members the chance to meet, take courses, socialize, and talk shop.
It also served as the setting to announce and install the officers for the Organization’s 2012-2013 term. The newly installed officers will serve a one-year term which began on July 1, 2012. They are as follows:
- President Lora H. Lowe, CRM, CIC, CISR, CPIW of the Southeastern Insurance Agency
- President – Elect Beatrice M. Grant, CRIS, CPIW of Acadia Insurance Company
- Vice President Kristin L. Camarra, JD, CPIW of Camber Insurance Agency
