A total of 45 new member agencies from across the country also joined in June
Three Massachusetts insurance agencies have joined the ranks of the Strategic Insurance Agency Alliance, better known as SIAA. The Lemire Insurance Agency of Hudson, Northeast Insurance Solutions of Hingham and Marshall Insurance Agency of Marlborough became the latest independent insurance agents of Massachusetts to join the association in June. SIAA says that in total, 45 member agencies from across the country signed up with the alliance last month with 34 of them being new or “scratch” agencies new to the indpendent agency system.
“We are excited to be able to grow at a steady and aggressive pace.” said Jim Masiello, SIAA’s CEO. “After a first quarter announcing the most new members in any first quarter in our history, we are pacing for continued record-breaking growth. This is further evidence of how our model works irrespective of the economic climate.”
SIAA began in 1983 with the creation of a Master Agency Profit Center to grow the Masiello Insurance Agency based in Southern New Hampshire. In 1995, SIAA was launched using the same model as the SAN Group and is now the largest Independent Insurance Agency Alliance in the country. The alliance’s latest numbers show it currently has over 4,000 members who created $780 million in new premium growth in 2011.
