Wellesley-based Corcoran & Havlin Insurance Group has merged with the Sciarratta & Doucette Insurance Agency of Needham. Corcoran & Havlin will serve former Sciarratta & Doucette customers out of its corporate headquarters in Wellesley which is just 4 miles from Sciarratta & Doucette’s former office. Further terms of the merger were not disclosed.
“We are excited to welcome the Sciarratta & Doucette Insurance Agency and its customers to the Corcoran & Havlin Insurance Group,” said Jack Keefe, President of Corcoran & Havlin. “For more than 47 years, S&D has built an excellent reputation for superior customer service and products, making it a perfect fit for our organization. As a Five Star Agency, we can now offer an increased array of insurance carrier offerings and our award winning service to Sciarratta & Doucette clients.”
The Sciarratta & Doucette Agency was founded in Needham in 1966 by Angelo Sciarratta and Ken Doucette. Both the founders, Sciarratta and Doucette were still involved with the independent agency up until its merger with Corcoran & Havlin. With the combination of the two independent agencies, the newly merged agencies will now serve over 14,000 clients and will strengthen the Corcoran & Havlin Insurance Group’s presence in the metro-west area.
