The Burlington-based worker’s compensation insurer made a series of executive changes at its December meeting
A.I.M. Mutual Insurance Companies announced this week that Michael E. Standing has been elected President and Chief Executive Officer of the worker’s compensation insurer. Mr. Standing success John A. Myers, who was named Chairman.
A 25-year veteran of property and casualty insurance, Mr. Standing first joined the Companies in 2012 as Vice President. In June of 2013, Standing was elected President. Prior to A.I.M. Mutual, he was a Senior Vice President- Account Executive and member of the Workers Compensation Specialty Practice at Guy Carpenter & Company.
In addition to the elections of Mr. Standing and Mr. Myers as President & CEO and Chairman, the Board also elected Paul M. Kehoe as Vice President and Treasurer. Mr. Kehoe, who first joined the Companies in 2005, was most recently Controllers for A.I.M. Mutual. He succeeds Gregory Shah, who had been the Controller since 1994. Mr. Shah was named the new Advisor and Corporate Secretary, a position which reports directly to the Board of Directors. All of the above appointments are effective January 1, 2015.
Formed in 1988 as a reciprocal exchange, A.I.M. Mutual celebrates its 25th anniversary as a regional worker’s compensation insurance carrier this year. In Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Connecticut, the carrier currently provides worker’s compensation coverage for approximately 17,000 employers in these states.
These latest appointments complete the executive management transition first begun with Mr. Standing’s arrival at the Companies in 2012.
