Massachusetts Among Best States For Insurance Education Says Big “I”

Each year the Big “I” presents its Excellence in Insurance Education Awards
The Massachusetts Association of Insurance Agents was recognized this year with a Diamond Award for Excellence in Insurance Education. Each year, the Big “I” presents its Excellence in Insurance Education awards to those state associations and staff who have provided an outstanding educational experience for their member agents and the industry in general. This year’s Education Convocation in New Orleans.

 

“The Big ‘I’ greatly appreciates the hard work by our state associations to develop, promote and implement so many wonderful education programs,” says Madelyn Flannagan, Big “I” vice president of agent development, education and research. “These continuing education programs are critical to our independent agents, brokers and the clients they serve.”
Selection for an award is determined by a score based upon a state’s overall educational offerings in a variety of areas including class offerings, continuing education (CE), professionalism, designation offerings, industry collaboration, planning goals, marketing, resources. A short essay detailing a state’s overall insurance education program is required as well.
A total of 22 states were recognized this year for their contributions to insurance educations. The 2015 EIE awards were are as follows:

• Independent Insurance Agents of Nebraska
• New Hampshire Association of Insurance Agents

• Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of New York
• Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina
• Independent Insurance Agents of Oklahoma
• Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of South Carolina
• Independent Insurance Agents of Virginia
• Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of Washington

• Independent Insurance Agents of Kentucky
• Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of Louisiana
• Michigan Association of Insurance Agents
