As with Agency Checklists’ review of the private passenger auto insurance marketplace, this review is to provide a snapshot of the commercial automobile insurance marketplace in the Commonwealth along with a review of the overall shifts and trends that are happening within it.

They are provided for those interested in comparing today’s market leaders with a similar graph from 2006 to see how the Massachusetts commercial automobile insurance market has shifted over the last ten years.
Safety sits a top the Commercial Auto marketplace
The most interesting take-away from this latest look at the state of the 2016 commercial automobile insurance marketplace in Massachusetts, is that Safety has claimed the number one spot from Commerce.
At the start of 2016, Commerce held the top spot with 15.72% of the market share. By the end of 2016, however, Safety effectively took over the top spot with 14.98% of the marketplace. In comparison, as of December 2016, Commerce claimed 14.80% of the commercial auto insurance market.
