Renaissance Alliance Insurance Services Names Robert Bondi As President
New appointment is a key move in further promoting growth for member agencies says RAIS
Wellesley-based Renaissance Alliance has a new President. The membership alliance has named Robert A. Bondi to the role of President, effective immediately. In his new role, Mr. Bondi’s primary mission will be to accelerate growth and income for the independent agency members of the Alliance.
In announcing the appointment, CEO and 2019 IPYA winner J. Bruce Cochrane noted that Mr. Bondi will be responsible for developing and delivering differentiated , state-of-the-art capabilities to independent agency members in order to drive premium growth, commission enhancement, and profit margin results beyond “the typical independent agency experience.”
As president, he also will lead the Agency Services Group, comprised of the functional teams that deliver marketing, onboarding and training, policy placement, customer service, and billing/reconciliation services to agency members. He will oversee the creation of a service model that leverages agency growth partners and a suite of analytics to identify agency opportunities.
This innovative approach will directly involve agency leaders to develop targeted plans featuring greater utilization of Renaissance services proven to deliver concrete results.

Of the appointment, Executive Chairman Kevin Callahan notes, “We are dedicating 2019 to accelerating the growth of our independent agency members and Bob Bondi’s appointment underscores that commitment. He is a transformational executive with proven record of successfully executing innovative strategies to maximize business performance.” Callahan also highlights the strategic importance of this role as Renaissance Alliance executes its plans to grow beyond New England in the coming months.
Prior to joining Renaissance, Mr. Bondi was the Chief Operating Officer of Confie, the largest personal lines broker in the U.S. His prior insurance experience also includes president of the CIGH insurance agency that sold and serviced policy holders in approximately 200 locations across eight states. Mr. Bondi also has held executive roles at Affirmative Insurance, Aon Client Services, AON Capital Markets and Mellon Bank.
Ryan Hanley leaves the insurance industry
Many know Ryan Hanley as one of the leading online voices of the independent agency system. After 12 years in insurance first as an independent agent, then as Chief Marketing Officer at Agency Nation, and most recently as the CMO of Bold Penguin, Mr. Hanley announced last month that he is leaving the insurance industry. In a personal video posted last week on his social media channels, he explained the reasons why for his departure from the insurance industry.
