The State House News Service’s interview with Registrar Blue was a widely cited article this week
A State House News Service article last week says that RMV fees could rise as much as 10 percent this year. According to The Boston Globe, the RMV hasn’t raised rates since 2008 and currently brings in close to $550 million a year. RMV officials told the Globe that if they can raise that figure by 10 percent they would be able to close the current gap that now exists in the MassDOT budget.
In the State House New Service article Blue said that the rate increase would likely be discussed during a March 19th hearing.
