In April 2014, the Massachusetts Workers’ Compensation Advisory Council published its an annual report for fiscal year 2013, entitled “The State of the Massachusetts Workers’ Compensation System.”
The Advisory Council’s Annual Report provided a detailed analysis of the workers’ compensation system in Massachusetts as of 2013. The report included an overview and discussion of the operations of the Department of Industrial Accidents (DIA), summaries of legislative initiatives and current statistics related to occupational illness and injury, as well as sections on workers’ compensations insurance.
In its 166 pages, the report covers a whole range of workers’ compensation issues in Massachusetts. Agency Checklists has selected from the report various charts and graphs that relate to insurance and the process at the Division of Industrial Accidents. The selections appear below.
