While none of these companies were listed on it, they are, however, listed as the top 20 writers for fidelity and surety in Massachusetts according to the most recent figures from the Division of Insurance. Here are some more interesting figures about the size and make-up of this line of insurance in the Commonwealth
- There are a total of 165 insurance companies that write fidelity and surety insurance;
- The total Direct Written Premium for this line of insurance in Massachusetts was $167,849,335;
- The Top 20 insurers wrote $140,462,173 in Direct Written Premium;
- The Top 20 insurers have an approximately 83.7% share of the marketplace;
- The remaining 145 companies write $27,387,162 in Direct Written Premium;
- This represents a 16.3 % market share.
