The Morse Insurance Agency, a family-owned and operated agency based in Southern Massachusetts has welcomed another Massachusetts independent agency to its family.

Effective January 1st, 2020, the Connolly Insurance Agency has merged with Morse Insurance. Founded in 1996 by Richard Connolly, Connolly Insurance has been an independent insurance agency in Easton, Massachusetts for over two decades.

In making an announcement of its merger to clients and friends, Mr. Connolly posted the following statement on his agency’s social media profile:

As of January 1, 2020, Connolly will be merging with Morse Insurance Agency, Inc., another family-run and local agency just like ours.

This agency has been a member of the Easton community for nearly 70 years. It is run by Dan Morse, and his brothers, Tim and Brian, who took over the agency from their father.

One of the main reasons for my decision to merge with Morse was the knowledge that this move will greatly benefit our clients. An immediate advantage for you will be access to many more insurance carriers, and their products and services. Morse has relationships with over 40 regional and national insurance providers, enabling the Connolly team to ensure you are getting the best coverages at the most competitive rates, without sacrificing the quality personalized service you have come to expect.

It is likely you have been with Connolly Insurance for several years or more. I want to personally assure you that little will change. I will remain actively involved with the agency as will most of the staff you have been working with. It will be business as usual, just under a new name. However, on Monday, December 30th we will be relocating our office on 85 Main Street to the Morse Agency’s Easton location at 285 Washington Street, less than one mile from our present location.

I encourage you to visit their website to learn more about their agency and to please reach out to me with any questions: https://www.morseins.com/

Daniel T Morse President Morse Insurance Agency

Morse Insurance Agency is a family owned business providing quality service to Southeastern Massachusetts since 1950 when the David R. Morse Insurance Agency merged with the John I. Lowndes Insurance Agency to form the Lowndes-Morse Agency. As David R. Morse’s family grew so did the agency. His family became involved with the business and the agency changed its name in 1997 from Lowndes-Morse Insurance Agency to Morse Insurance Agency, to better reflect its evolution into a family owned and operated business.

Daniel, Timothy and Brian Morse bought the agency from their father in 2004. Dan took over as President in charge of day to day operations in 2002. Tim and Brian are both Vice Presidents of the organization. They are taking the Morse Insurance Agency to new heights. The agency currently employs 18 people and services well over 8,000 clients. Licensed in Massachusetts, we work closely with many regional and national carriers to bring our clients the best possible products at a competitive price.

In November 2019, Daniel Morse was named Chairman of the Massachusetts Association of Insurance Agents during the Association’s annual meeting held during The Big Event.
