Davis & Towle Insurance Group Announces Christopher Nicolopoulos to be CEO: Other Leadership Changes

June 3, 2025 by AC Editor

Mr. Nicolopoulos is the Former NH Insurance Commissioner

Davis & Towle Insurance Group, headquartered in Concord, NH with 13 locations across the state and into Maine, is proud to welcome former NH Insurance Commissioner, Christopher (Chris) Nicolopoulos as the agency’s new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). With Chris’s addition, Jeffrey Towle, previously the agency’s President has moved to the position of Chairman of the Board, while his son, Ryan Towle, previously Vice President has assumed the role of President.

A seasoned insurance and regulatory leader, Chris previously served as New Hampshire’s Insurance Commissioner, overseeing the state’s $10 billion insurance market, and as President & CEO of the New Hampshire Association of Insurance Agents, where he led advocacy, member services, and carrier relations for the state’s independent agents.

He also brings legal expertise and public policy experience from both the private and association sectors. Most recently, he worked in a regional government affairs role at NAMIC (National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies).

Through the acquisitions of various independent insurance agencies across New Hampshire and Maine, Davis & Towle has grown to be one of New Hampshire’s largest, locally owned, independent insurance agencies.  Clients who use an agency backed by Davis & Towle Insurance Group enjoy the same local, personalized service they depend on from their trusted agent, while benefitting from Davis & Towle’s vast network of coverage options and expanded team collaboration.  As Davis & Towle continues to grow, their longstanding commitment remains the same: to maintain access to quality, affordable insurance options, provide local, convenient service and impart honest and unbiased industry insight.

“As we continue to pursue strategic opportunities for growth, while maintaining our roots firmly in the local, personal service our clients expect, building a strong leadership team has become increasingly important,” says Ryan Towle, President, Davis & Towle. “Chris’s proven leadership and deep understanding of the independent agency landscape make him a strong fit to join me in leading Davis & Towle forward.”

Chris Nicolopoulos shares, “I’m looking forward to joining Ryan in leading the Davis & Towle team.  Their stellar reputation is to be admired, and I’m inspired by their commitment to their community, their clients, and the independent insurance agency industry at large. I’m excited to build upon Davis & Towle’s strong foundation, while leading the agency into the future.”

As part of Davis & Towle’s restructuring of leadership, several current employees have also been recognized with leadership positions. Sandra Margeson has assumed the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Treasurer. Lori Tobin is now Vice President, Personal Lines / Branch Management, and Brian Parsons has been promoted to Vice President, Sales.
