Vermont Mutual Celebrates 34th Annual Meeting Of Its “25 Year Club”

August 29, 2016 by AC Editor

Vermont Mutual’s “25 Year Club” club was first established 34 years ago

As it has done for the past 34 years, this month the 187 year-old Vermont Mutual Insurance Group, held its annual celebration to fee the many employees who have worked for it for more than 25 years.

Since holding the first of its “25 Year Club” in 1982, each year Vermont Mutual has hosted a reception and dinner in honor of those employees, both active and retired, who have given at least 25 years of service to the mutual company. In his remarks during the celebration President and CEO, Dan Bridge noted that:

“It is indeed a remarkable achievement to be admitted into this exclusive club and Vermont Mutual is pleased to acknowledge these outstanding employees. We are grateful for their dedication and decades of service and look forward to working alongside these distinguished insurance professionals for many years to come.”

Seventy-nine guests attended this event with the “25 Year Club” boasting a total of 66 members in its ranks, of which 44 are still active and currently employed with the mutual insurer. Among the new members inducted this year was Vermont Mutual’s General Counsel, Richard Bland, who celebrates 25 years with the company this year. Other employees acknowledged during the evening were employees Reneè Bilodeau, Sharon Chadwick, Christine Lewis and Laurie Stone, all of who have 30 years of service with the insurer.

Other employees celebrating anniversary milestones were Debi Graves, Shirley Metcalf and Julie Smith, each of who have been with Vermont Mutual 35 years. In addition, Mary Davis’ was also feted for her 40 years with the company having begun her career with the company in 1976. During the evening, a moment of silence was also held for former VP of Claims, Donald W. Bean, who passed away this past June 16, 2016.
