The Essex/Middlesex Chapter of MAIA was awarded “Chalter of the Year” in 2021 due to the extremely popular “Dynamic Women Spotlight Speaker Series.” We had several influential woman speakers presenting a variety of items such as Women in Business, Entrepreneurial, Women helping women, Business acumen on zoom calls, and more all while in the middle of a pandemic! One of our guests was Rochelle Joseph – renowned stylist for the stars! This virtual series was a great opportunity to bring us all together even while we were all stuck at home!
MAIW’s Member of the Year
We were also lucky to have our Co-Director, Laura Henderson, awarded as “Member of the Year” -Congratulations! Her tireless efforts in collaboration, self-development, and sincere interest in helping others achieve success continues to make an impression on all who know Laura! She has been instrumental in helping our chapter continue to grow, increase educational opportunities, and increase the amount of scholarships and community organizations that we have been able to help.
More about MAIW

Currently, the organization has ten chapters that meet regularly throughout the year in different regions of the Commonwealth. In addition, the MAIW’s holds assocation-wide meetings held throughout the year. The next Association meeting is scheduled for October 17th and 18th in Hynnis and offers members the chance to meet, take courses and network.
For those insurance professionals interested in joining the MAIW, the non-profit organization is open to anyone living or working in an insurance-related occupation in Massachusetts. The MAIW says that it is actively looking new members – for those who are interested it suggests attending one of its monthly Chapter meetings or to reach out to cuprouty@gmail.com.
