Steven Antone Torres, 74, of Meadville, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, November 30, 2021. He was born January 14, 1947 in Fall River, Massachusetts, a son of Antone and Dorothy Mello Torres.
He was a graduate of Somerset High School in Massachusetts.
Steve was well known in the area as an insurance agent being employed with Richard Pitts Agency.
He was a member of the Lions Club in Massachusetts and joined the Conneautville Lions Club after moving to Pennsylvania where he was also a former member of the American Legion in Linesville. Steve was also an active member of the Country Club of Meadville where he was always up for a round of golf. He also enjoyed fantasy football, fishing, refereeing, traveling, volunteering to help run youth programs like Little League, and coaching not only his boys, but the Conneaut girls soccer team. In his younger years Steve played Minor League Baseball and enjoyed skiing.
Left to cherish his memory is his companion, Julie Roth of Meadville; two sons, Jason Torres of Meadville and Matthew S. Torres and his wife Ashleigh Bartges of Pittsburgh; his former spouse, Linda Brice of South Carolina; a special cousin, Nancy Lewin of New Bedford, Massachusetts; and her children, Kelsey and Kacie.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
