July 26, 2016 – This is an interesting case because it exemplifies what can happen when an applicant makes an application for a nonresident producer license and does not disclose, in response to the standard application, correct answers to the question that ask if the applicant has ever been convicted of a misdemeanor.

On May 23, 2016, a Division of Insurance Hearing Officer fined Germone A. Gadsden, of Charlotte, North Carolina a total of $5,500 arising out of a license misrepresentation regarding the payment of child support.
