William Gallagher Associates was founded in Boston in 1983
The insurance brokerage and risk management firm of William Gallagher Associates (“WGA”), announced this week that it has promoted four of its employees to the position of Senior Vice President within the company’s Property and Casualty Insurance Practice. The company, which began in Boston in 1983 in one of the country’s leading independent brokerage firms, with offices in Boston, MA; New York, NY; Hartford, CT; Princeton, NJ Columbia, MD; and Atlanta, GA. All four of the promotions occurred within the Boston office.
Paula Donovan
Ms. Donovan, first joined WGA in 1987. Over the course of her 25-plus year career with the brokerage firm, she has served in various supervisory and account managerial positions with the Property & Casualty Group including as the Systems Trainer and Manager for all service members within the department. A Massachusetts native, Ms. Donovan is a graduate of Boston State College (now known as UMass Boston).

Charles Long
Mr. Long leads the Renewable Energy & Clean Technology Practice at WGA. A 25-year veteran of the Massachusetts insurance industry, Mr. Long first began his career in insurance at Chubb & Son Insurance. For the last 20 years of his career, he has worked on the insurance brokerage side of the business, eventually joining WGA in 2002. A Northeastern University graduate, Mr. Long is also served in the United States Navy and is a member of various professional organizations including the GCube Insurance Advisory Council, Northeast Energy and Commerce Association, AWEA and the New England Clean Energy Council.
“Charlie has been an integral part of our Energy Practice in the decade plus since he has been at WGA,” commented Mr. Veale. “He has helped broaden the areas of expertise we have within the energy sector and continues to work to increase our footprint by attracting new talent to the company.”
Ronni Rausch
A 30 year veteran of the insurance and risk management fields, Ms. Rausch has been with WGA since 2003. Her focus at the firm includes dealing with a wide-range of the firm’s clients including public entity institutional and not for profit companies to consulting and staffing firms. A graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Ms. Rausch is a Licensed Massachusetts Insurance Advisor. She also holds a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.

Haley Adams
Ms. Adams, who joined WGA in 2012, focuses on the firm’s Life Sciences Practice and in the placement and implementation of programs for WGA’s most complex clients. Prior to joining WGA, Ms. Adams has 20 years experience in industries including life science, retail and manufacturing, including 13 years at a national brokerage house. A graduate of Williams College, Ms. Adams also hold the Associate in Risk Management designation,
