On Tuesday, June 7, 2016, approximately 30 insurance and legal professionals accepted the Insurance Library Association of Boston’s open invitation to enjoy light refreshments with Massachusetts Insurance Commissioner Dan Judson.
Opportunity to personally meet and talk with the Commissioner
The late afternoon networking event allowed insurance professionals to personally meet the Commissioner who also gave a brief presentation on current issues facing the industry. Attendees included the former Insurance Commissioner Joseph Murphy, agents, brokers, agents, several company c-level officers, as well as some of the Library’s instructors and its staff.
Per the request of the attendees, the Library hopes to schedule additional networking events open to the industry.
Shameless promotion for the oldest private insurance library in the U.S.
The Library loves feedback and we hope to offer similar events in the future. Meanwhile, don’t forget to put our largest networking event of the year, The Insurance Professional of the Year Award Ceremony, on your calendar for October 14, 2016. More information on tickets and the winner to follow.
The Library is not just a great place to gather and meet people; it is also an excellent resource for professional research and insurance education. We are currently winding down our 2015-2016 Annual Fund Campaign, and would encourage you to consider donating to help us keep our quality programming and insurance treasures available. Previous donations from donors like you have helped us create a member portal with access to The Library’s Insurance Article Index, enabled the creation of online classes and funded the digitization of our catalog (an ongoing process).
