Wellesley-based Renaissance Alliance has welcomed seven new agencies into its fold this month. All seven agencies are located in the New England area, with three of them hailing from Massachusetts.
“Renaissance Alliance qualifications for membership are uniquely defined and purposeful. Sustained profitability, a passion for growth, demonstrated quality of customer service, and forward-thinking agency leadership are the core strength of our coalition and requirement for all new members,” noted President Bruce Cochrane in announcing the new additions.
The three new Massachusetts member agencies are:
- Click Insurance of Watertown
- Foti Insurance Agency of Cambridge; and
- the Hackwell Boone Insurance Agency, Inc. of South Easton.
Of the remaining four New England-based agencies that signed on as members this month, three hail from Connecticut and one from New Hampshire. The Connecticut-based agencies include Gary Blaustein Associates of Stamford, Paradiso Financial & Insurance Services, LLC of Stafford Springs, and Prindle Insurance Agency of Sharon. The New Hampshire agency is the Centurion Insurance Group of West Lebanon.
For Mr. Cochrane, having successful agencies work together is a win-win for all, since, according to Mr. Cochrane the “…addition of highly successful agencies drives greater value to all current member agencies, as well as to the customers that those agencies serve.”
What being a member means…
In further elaborating on what it means to join Renaissance Alliance, Mr. Cochrane highlighted as the services and benefits Renaissance Alliance offers its member agencies.
“Renaissance Alliance is a one-of-its-kind organization,” Mr. Cochrane stated. “Members retain full agency ownership and 100% independence… but they gain the infrastructure for unlimited growth,” as well as:
- access to numerous markets and profit sharing significantly beyond that achievable as stand-alone agencies;
- an extensive suite of cutting-edge services designed to nurture growth and maximize agency revenues;
- back-office services to reduce the burden of non-sales generating overhead expenses;
- training and technology services;
- access to affiliated industry experts;
- data analytics; and,
- sales and marketing support; and much more.
Mr. Cochrane further noted that the trend in recent years has seen many independent agencies turn “..to agency clusters, aggregations or groupings that merely increase access to insurance markets and profit sharing.” He emphasized that simply sharing markets and profits are no longer sufficient offerings to help “…agencies to thrive and remain relevant amid industry disruptions.”
Mr. Cochrane began his insurance career at the Cochrane and Porter Insurance Agency, an independent agency that his father started in the 1950s. He formed and launched the Renaissance Alliance in 1999, in order “to enhance the manner in which the independent agency system typically conducts business.”
Over the past 17 years, Renaissance Alliance has grown to become one of the top 20 agency partners in the country and with a current aggregate premium now topping $532 million.
