Glynnis Walbridge Is The 2017 MAIW Member Of The Year

Agency Checklists, MA Insurance News, Mass. Insurance NewsGlynnis Walbridge, CPIW, has been selected as the Massachusetts Association of Insurance Woman Member of the Year for 2017.

The Member of the Year award is to recognize those, outstanding members of the MAIW, who demonstrate their MAIW spirit through “…mentoring, good works, loyalty, encouragement, support, and fellowship to the association and other members.”

After being nominated by her Chapter, the Board of Directors elected Ms. Walbridge as the Member of the Year during the Association’s February Board of Directors Meeting. She also will be recognized with a plaque during the MAIW’s Saturday Night Banquet held during the Association’s May meeting, which will take place this coming weekend.

A licensed producer for over 30 years, Ms. Walbridge has been employed at several independent insurance agencies within the Massachusetts insurance industry in many facets over her career.

Currently, she is an Assistant Vice President /Branch Manager at the Rogers & Gray Insurance Agency, one of the Commonwealth’s largest independent agencies. In addition to holding a broker’s license in Property & Casualty, Ms. Walbridge is also licensed in Life and Health.

A past president of the MAIW, she currently serves as the Association’s Chairman of the Education Committee as well as assisting on the Marketing Committee. She further contributes to the MAIW through writing as well as teaching classes.

The non-profit organization is now in its 79th year of operation

Insurance NewsFounded in 1938, the MAIW’s missions and goals continue to be the same ones that it started with “…to provide opportunities for insurance professionals to both further their education and alliances within the Massachusetts insurance industry.”

Currently, the organization has ten chapters that meet regularly throughout the year in different regions of the Commonwealth. In addition, the MAIW’s holds association-wide meetings held throughout the year. The next Association meeting is scheduled for October 17th and 18th in Hyannis and offers members the chance to meet, take courses and network.

For those insurance professionals interested in joining the MAIW, the non-profit organization is open to anyone living or working in an insurance-related occupation in Massachusetts.  For those interested in joining the organization, the MAIW suggests the attendance at one of its monthly Chapter meetings to learn more.
