Erin Schaaf Appointed COO of Rogers & Gray Insurance
Rogers & Gray Insurance has announced the hiring of Erin Schaaf as the company’s new Chief Operating Officer.
“We are thrilled to have Erin join the Rogers & Gray team,” said David Robinson, President & CEO Rogers & Gray. “Her diverse experience in both independent agencies and insurance companies will help lead Rogers & Gray to new levels. “
Schaaf brings nearly three decades of experience in the insurance industry to the post. Most recently, she served at Arbella Mutual, where she held various leadership roles in personal lines products, underwriting and fraud detection. Prior to joining Rogers & Gray, she served as Assistant Vice President Personal Lines Product, helping to set strategy for Massachusetts and Connecticut.
“I have been fortunate to always work in great places with extraordinary teams,” said Schaaf. “I always knew that at some point I would return to an agency because I enjoy being close to customers, building relationships, and the feeling of being part of a team that earns customers’ trust and protects them. The Rogers & Gray culture fits me well and feels like home already.”
Schaaf received a BS in Mathematics at Bridgewater State University and a Masters of Science in Insurance Management from Boston University. She also holds a CPCU Designation (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter) and volunteers with Father Bill’s and Main Spring homeless shelter.

CNA Announces Tom Allen as Vice President, Boston Branch
CNA today announced the appointment of Tom Allen as Vice President of the Boston Branch, effective January 2, 2018. In this role, Allen will be responsible for leading the branch in cultivating deeper relationships with producers and accelerating CNA’s market presence in the Boston territory. He will report to Jim Romanelli, Senior Vice President and Northeastern Zone Officer.
“Tom is a proven leader with nearly three decades of industry experience and a strong knowledge of the Bostonmarketplace,” Romanelli said. “His expertise in underwriting and portfolio management make him uniquely suited to lead the branch and will ensure we continue to build relationships and serve the needs of our local agents and brokers.”
Allen joins CNA from AIG’s Property & Casualty division, most recently serving as Managing Director for the Boston Region. He has also held other leadership roles at AIG, including Vice President of Business Development, Vice President of Field Operations, Vice President and Regional Manager, and Regional Manager of National Accounts.
