Acadia Insurance Appoints Simone Grimes Chief Financial Officer

WESTBROOK, Maine – Acadia Insurance, a Berkley Company®, today announced the appointment of Simone Grimes, MBA, CPA, CIA as Chief Financial Officer.  She succeeds Charlie Hamblen who will retire later this year. 

Grimes has diverse senior leadership experience in the worlds of finance and insurance, previously working at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), then as a regional vice president at a national insurance carrier and most recently serving as the Deputy Chief Operating Officer and Senior Strategy Executive at the Federal Housing Finance Agency in Washington, DC.

 “Charlie has had tremendous impact on Acadia Insurance and our success these last 29 years. He will be greatly missed, and I wish him the best as he begins this next chapter of his life,” said Dave LeBlanc, president, Acadia Insurance.
