Gilbert Insurance Agency, Inc. Welcomes Two New Welcomes Two New Employees To The Team

May 20, 2021 by AC Editor

Reading, MA — Gilbert Insurance Agency, Inc. is pleased to announce the hiring of two experienced insurance industry professionals. Sherri Sahovey will fill the role of personal lines assistant manager, and Megan McNamara joins the company as a commercial lines account manager.

Mark Gilbert, president of Gilbert Insurance, says, “We are always keeping our eye out for talented, knowledgeable, and experienced staff to add to our personal and commercial lines teams. Sherri and Megan both have a proven commitment to customer service, which makes them a great fit with our agency.”

Sherri Sahovey is a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) with 20 years of experience in sales, customer service, and underwriting. Her specialty over the last 16 years has been collaborating with high-net-worth clients to help them assess their numerous exposures and identify the best products and coverage to meet their unique needs.

At Gilbert Insurance, Sherri will assist in managing the Personal Lines department, plan and implement new personal lines processes and workflows, and work closely with personal lines clients.

“One of my main goals in this new role will be to help make sure our personal insurance clients have the right coverage at competitive prices, and that they understand their policy details,” says Sherri. “More importantly, I am committed to being there for Gilbert clients whenever they need me. Being able to help people get the proper protection for the things that are most important to them is what has always attracted me to the insurance industry.”

Megan McNamara, a Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR), comes to Gilbert with five years of insurance industry experience under her belt. As a Gilbert Insurance commercial lines account manager, Megan will be responsible for addressing any needs or issues that the agency’s business insurance clients might have.

“I am looking forward to applying my commercial lines experience to this new role at Gilbert,” says Megan. “As the primary liaison between our clients and their insurance company, I am dedicated to being extremely responsive to any client questions or concerns, as well as quickly and effectively resolving any problems that may arise. It makes my day when I not only get a client the answer they needed but also exceed their expectations of service.”

Both Sherri and Megan will work out of the Reading office. With these two added to the team, Gilbert Insurance Agency now has 18 employees located across their Reading and Medford locations.
