Mark Gilbert, president of Gilbert Insurance, says, “Carmelina is a highly regarded insurance industry professional who is known for her problem-solving capabilities, process refinement skills, and, most importantly, the exceptional customer service she provides insureds. For many years, she has been dedicated to accumulating insurance knowledge and using it to educate and support others. She will be a great asset to our team and clients.”

Carmelina’s insurance career began in 1997 as a call center representative for direct carrier Electric Insurance. While there, she was promoted to customer service trainer, mentoring new customer service representatives. After six years at Electric, Carmelina transitioned to the agency side of the industry and gained valuable experience in both the standard and high-net-worth markets at several large national insurance agencies, including HUB International.

As Personal and Commercial Lines Account Executive at Gilbert Insurance, Carmelina will now have the opportunity to apply her broad skill set in a more personal, hands-on setting. Says Carmelina, “I will be working closely with our clients to analyze their personal and commercial risk exposures and put in place best-in-class insurance programs and risk management strategies. In addition, I look forward to collaborating with local professionals, like real estate brokers, attorneys, and estate planners, to provide advice and programs that will help them support their clients’ risk management and insurance needs. Being part of the insurance industry, and now part of the Gilbert team, allows me to fulfill my goal of making a direct and positive impact on people’s lives.”

Carmelina Bernazani will work out of Gilbert’s Reading office. With Carmelina’s addition to the team, Gilbert Insurance Agency now has 18 employees located across their Reading and Medford locations.
