Alera Group Enhances Client Experience and Accelerates Growth with Appointment of Three Regional Managing Directors

April 29, 2022 by AC Editor

Deerfield, IL — Alera Group, a top independent national insurance and wealth services firm, announced today the appointment of three regional managing directors: Bill Brown, Gary Piantedosi, and Richard Silberstein. Working closely with Alera Group’s executive team, practice leaders and fellow regional leaders, these managing directors will help drive Alera Group’s growth activities, ultimately resulting in new opportunities for colleagues and an improved client experience.

Bill Brown has been promoted to managing director in the South-Central region overseeing growth and operations in Alabama, Arkansas, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas. Bringing 20 years of industry expertise, Brown most recently served as a managing partner within Alera Group. He has a dynamic vision regarding organic and acquisitive growth, operational efficiencies and collaboration, all of which will help Alera Group succeed in the South-Central region.

Gary Piantedosi has been named managing director in the Northeast region covering Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont. Most recently serving as a senior partner within Alera Group, Piantedosi will leverage his 30 years of experience to further integrate Alera Group’s offices and focus on the firm’s organic growth.

Richard Silberstein has been appointed managing director in the Mid-Atlantic region covering Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington D.C. and West Virginia. Silberstein previously served as a managing partner within Alera Group and brings more than four decades of industry experience. His expertise in driving organic growth and creative collaborations, coupled with a dynamic vision gained through years of experience in the field, provides a strong foundation for the development of the Mid-Atlantic region.

“As Alera Group continues to build momentum and expand our national footprint, we are excited to announce three well-deserved promotions for these strong leaders,” said Jim Blue, President of Alera Group. “Bill, Gary and Richard bring a vast knowledge of insurance, employee benefits, retirement plan services and wealth services to their new roles and each share our belief that collaboration is a critical component to our success. We are looking forward to supporting their efforts to build strong teams and deliver exceptional solutions and service.”
