BOSTON, MA – June 15, 2022 – The Insurance Library has announced a search for a new executive director as Paul Tetrault, executive director since January of 2019, is stepping down from the position at the end of June to pursue another opportunity in the industry.
“The Trustees of the Library would like to thank Paul for his leadership and guidance during his tenure,” commented Meredith Mangan, president of the Library’s Board of Trustees. “Paul leaves a lasting legacy of partnership and collaboration with the insurance industry by furthering the mission of The Insurance Library to enrich the insurance and risk management community through preserving the history of insurance, offering unsurpassed research services, delivering and supporting top-notch education, and facilitating engagement.”
“It has been a unique and special privilege to lead The Insurance Library over the past three-and-a-half years,” Tetrault said. “The Library is a treasured institution that plays such an important role in the insurance community. I plan to be among the Library’s most active supporters and advocates in the future.”
In launching a search to fill the Executive Director position, the Library’s Board for Trustees noted it is a prominent role in the insurance industry, and candidates should demonstrate institutional leadership and openness to collaboration. In this position, the individual will direct and oversee the day-to-day operations of a nonprofit and drive a clear vision for the mission of The Insurance Library.
