SIAA Finishes 2022 with Multiple Acquisitions and Over 700 New Member Agencies

January 13, 2023 by AC Editor

SIAA reaffirms commitment to local independent agencies and expands position supporting carriers with independent agency distribution.

Matt Masiello, CEO of SIAA (Strategic Insurance Agency Alliance) – the largest alliance of independent insurance agencies in the U.S. – recently announced the acquisition of three independent agency networks: Deforest Group of Kingston, NY, North American Insurance Alliance (NAIA) in New England, and Michigan Agency Partners (MAP) of Jackson, Michigan.

“SIAA has successfully completed a busy year in the M&A space with these acquisitions in the final weeks of 2022. We welcome the members of NAIA and the DeForest Group to the SIAA family and look forward to proving to them our ongoing dedication to the creation, growth and evolution of the independent agency,” said Matt Masiello, CEO of SIAA, “These acquisitions, as well as our regional Master Agencies’ recruitment efforts, have added over 700 new member agencies to our alliance in 2022.”

These acquisitions complete a total of ten (10) by SIAA over the last 18 months, including: Midwest Insurance Agency Alliance (Lincoln, NE), Continental Insurance Agency Alliance (Englewood, CO), Montana Agency Alliance (Great Falls, MT), Assure Alliance (Greer, SC), AHA Insurance Network (Louisville, KY), Texas Agency Alliance (Abilene, TX), Michigan Agency Partners (Jackson, MI), and the digital insurance agency, Rogue Risk.

Masiello went on to say, “The variety of the organizations with which we are transacting these deals reflects our commitment to the IA channel as a whole, and to functioning as the dominant independent insurance agent distribution channel in the industry. Many have tried to emulate our model over the years, but it is the intention of SIAA and our Master Agencies to keep raising the bar.”
