BHSI Goes Toe-To-Toe With AIG As It Expands Into Fiduciary Liability Market

 BHSI’s new VP, Fiduciary Liability Product Manager spent 23 years at AIG Agency Checklists, MA Insurance News, Mass. Insurance NewsBerkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance has entered the fiduciary liability marketplace and has appointed Rhonda Prussack to lead. This latest announcement comes on the heels of the company’s announcement earlier this summer that it was entering into the surety marketplace and adds to the Boston-based specialty insurer’s growing list of fiduciary liability product line. Earlier this year, the company introduced Executive FirstTM, a D&O liability insurance tailored to large commercial and financial operations Former AIG Executive Vice President, Rhonda Prussack, has been named as the new Vice President, Fiduciary Liability Product Manager for BHSI’s new division.

“Widely recognized as an expert in fiduciary liability insurance, Rhonda will work with our customers and brokers to bring to market solutions for ERISA-related exposures, backed by our substantial underwriting acumen and balance sheet,” said Dan Fortin, Senior Vice President, Executive and Professional Lines, BHSI. “She is a stellar addition to our executive and professional lines team, and to the broader Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance organization.”

A 23-year insurance industry veteran, Ms. Prussack spent 23 of those years at AIG where most recently she was the Executive Vice President, Fiduciary Liability. Prior to her time at AIG, Ms. Prussack was a Senior Retirement Plan Consultant for Dean Witter Reynolds, the stock brokerage and securities firm. Her career also includes time both at the New York City Employee Retirement System as well as four years as a Benefits Administrator for the insurance brokerage firm Johnson & Higgins. In addition to her extensive work experience, Ms. Prussack is also a frequent speaker on the topic of fiduciary liability and ERISA litigation and is a regular contributor to industry publications and a contributor to several books. A graduate of Brooklyn College, Ms. Prussack will be based in the New York office of Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance.
