The Dowd Insurance Agencies has been an independent insurance agency in Massachusetts for over 115 years
Jon D. Lumbra has joined the Dowd Insurance Agencies as its Chief Financial Officer. A resident of Holyoke, Mr. Lumbra is a former city treasurer who will now be responsible for directing the fiscal operations of the agency’s business and supervising the accounting department. He will also be charged with assisting in the planning, implementation and maintenance of the agency’s current systems and procedures.

In addition to being a former city treasurer, Mr. Lumbra brings nearly two decades of experience in financial services to The Dowd Insurance Agencies. Prior to his appointment with the Dowd Agency, Mr. Lumbra held various positions with The Loomis Communities, The City of Holyoke and Spectrum Analytical.

Dowd Jr., president and chief executive officer of The Dowd Agencies.
A graduate of Southern Vermont College, he holds a degree in criminal justice and minor in corporate espionage. In addition to his new responsibilities with the Dowd Agencies, Mr. Lumbra will also currently working toward his MBA at University of Southern New Hampshire. He is also the president of the local Knights of Columbus Council #90 board of directors, former executive board member of the Massachusetts Government Finance Officers Association, a member of the Holyoke Taxpayers Association and a panel member of the Taxpayer Advocacy Panel Federal Advisory Committee. He is also the immediate past chairmen of the Holyoke Visiting Nurse Association & Community Health Foundation, the immediate past president of the Holyoke Rotary Club and board of director member of Holyoke Medical Center. A Massachusetts native, Mr. Lumbra lives with his wife Patricia and three children in Holyoke. His wife is a native of Easthampton.
