The newly elected officers were installed at the MAIW’s Annual Meeting
During last weekend´s annual meeting, the Massachusetts Association of Insurance Women also held elected and installed its incoming President and Officers for the 2017-2018 year. The newly elected officers, listed below, will serve a one-year term beginning on July 1st.
President: Monique Duquette, CPIW, The Rogers & Gray Insurance Agency
President-Elect: Jocelyn Dew, DeCotis Insurance Associates Inc.
Vice President: Laura Sewall, Eastern Insurance Group LLC
Secretary: Liz Brother, William F. Borhek Insurance Agency, Inc.
Treasurer: Heather Heffernan, Sylvia Insurance Group Insurance Agency
Immediate Past President: Zenaide R. Noia, CISR, AAI, CPIA, Sylvia Insurance Group Insurance Agency
The non-profit organization is now in its 79th year of operation
Founded in 1938, the MAIW’s missions and goals continue to be the same ones that it started with “…to provide opportunities for insurance professionals to both further their education and alliances within the Massachusetts insurance industry.”
Currently, the organization has ten chapters that meet regularly throughout the year in different regions of the Commonwealth. In addition, the MAIW’s holds association-wide meetings held throughout the year.
For those insurance professionals interested in joining the MAIW, the non-profit organization is open to anyone living or working in an insurance-related occupation in Massachusetts. For those interested in joining the organization, the MAIW suggests the attendance at one of its monthly Chapter meetings to learn more.
