Sterrett Joins Optisure Risk Partners
Peter R. Milnes, CEO of Optisure Risk Partners, has announced that Reid Sterrett has joined Optisure in the new role of Life Practice Manager, reporting directly to Mr. Milnes. He will serve as a contributing member of the Optisure leadership team, providing the entire enterprise with expert knowledge and experience with life, disability, and long-term care products and services.
Mr. Sterrett, who is FINRA Series 6 and 63 licensed, joins Optisure from an affiliation with Northwestern Mutual, a relationship he began when he took over a 40-year Life Insurance practice built by his father Rollie Sterrett, and uncle Cliff Sterrett. Through this practice, he served over 3,000 clients, providing personal, business and estate planning, as well as disability and long-term care planning.
“Reid’s experience in this important segment of the insurance field will help to expand our support, products, and services to the Optisure agencies, and our collective clients. We are excited to have Reid as a member of the Optisure team,” said Mr. Milnes.
Mr. Sterrett is a graduate of Colgate University. Prior to his entering the insurance business, his professional career as a corporate sports marketing director found him on Madison Avenue and Wall Street, as well as in Las Vegas. He and his family currently call West Hartford, Connecticut their home. In addition to his professional associations, Reid is on the Board of Trustees at the Williston Northampton School, and is involved with the Boys and Girls Club of Hartford.
“I’m proud to join Peter, the Optisure leadership team, and a dynamic culture of industry professionals who are defining optimized insurance planning” states Mr. Sterrett, who officially joined Optisure Risk Partners in early December.
Optisure’s regional partners operate locally but with global capabilities, able to address the entire spectrum of risk protection, employee benefit, and propertycasualty insurance needs. Their brokers build optimized insurance & risk protection strategies for clients both domestically and internationally. The organization employs 70+ talented insurance professionals throughout the Northeast and Florida and secures in excess of $140 million of insurance premiums annually for its clients.
Boston Software
New recruits to the Boston Software team
We snagged this right from the Boston Software website:
We’d like you to meet two of our newest employees. Chris Biggs (left, above) recently joined our technical support staff, and BJ Nadeau was hired to fill the role of admin/office manager. We asked them to introduce themselves:
Chris Biggs
I was born and raised in Florida and didn’t see snow until my 20s. I started my college education pursuing a degree in electrical engineering at the University of Florida and, exactly according to plan, graduated 10 semesters later with a degree in German Language and Culture.
As a typical millennial, I have spent the past decade or so working hard to destroy the cable TV industry while subsisting exclusively on avocado toast. I spent four years living and working in South Korea and self-financing extensive world travel. Upon returning to the U.S., I jumped headlong into IT, which eventually led me to Boston Software. As an educator, communicator, and natural puzzle-solver, I find great satisfaction in helping customers overcome their technical issues. I believe every interaction has the capacity to facilitate learning, confidence, and positive mojo!
BJ Nadeau
This handsome stud [OK, this is the last time we allow new employees to write their own bios –Ed.] comes to us from a series of positions in healthcare administrative support. BJ is fascinated by all things tech, and has really enjoyed learning about the software side of the industry. In his spare time, BJ enjoys spending time with his wife and travelling. BJ is a huge Disney fan who is proud of having been an intern at Walt Disney World and having visited the Disney parks/resorts in California and Paris. He has enjoyed his short time at Boston Software and is looking forward to what the future will bring.
