Arbella Insurance Group Honored as One of Boston Business Journal’s “Best Places to Work” for Tenth Consecutive Year

Agency Checklists, MA Insurance News, Mass. Insurance News, Arbella, Arbella Insurance Jobs, Arbella NewsArbella has been one of the Boston Business Journal’s “Best Places to Work” for an impressive tenth year in a row. The annual award honors Boston-based businesses noted for their high levels of employee satisfaction and positive workplace cultures.

As we celebrate our 30th anniversary, we are thrilled to be selected as one of the Best Places to Work for the tenth consecutive year,” said Ellen Mann, assistant vice president of human resources at the Arbella Insurance Group. “At Arbella, our employees come first and play a vital role in the success of our business. Over the past three decades, we have constantly looked for new ways to support them professionally, collaboratively and personally, and we are excited to continue to build an environment in which our employees thrive.”

Arbella has implemented a number of programs to make this Quincy-based insurer both work and family friend. Acording to the company, fifty percent of the employees it hired in 2017 came via employee referrals. On average, Arbella employees remain with the company for at least 10 years, with another 10 percent of its employees having been with the company since its founding 30 years ago.

“I am finally at a company that genuinely wants what is best for me from a work-life balance and career perspective,” said Keisha Pierre, senior IT business analyst. “I’ve learned so much and continue to grow at Arbella while building so many great relationships with my co-workers. I’m grateful to come to work every day knowing that I love where I work and what I do.”

The Boston Business Journal’s annual “Best Places to Work” program recognizes 80 extra small, small, medium, large and extra large sized businesses whose benefits and unique initiatives put them ahead on the employee satisfaction curve. To select the winners, employees from Massachusetts-based companies participate in an anonymous survey that asks about company benefits, atmosphere, values and loyalty. The results are analyzed by a third-party research firm, and the winners are broken down into five categories based on size.

The 2018 “Best Places to Work” rankings will be released at a June 20 event at Symphony Hall in Boston.

Liberty Mutual Insurance Receives the 2018 Digital Workplace of the Year Award

Agency Checklists, MA Insurance News, Mass. Insurance News, Liberty Mutual, Liberty Mutual Life Assurance Co of Boston, top insurers in Massachusetts, largest Mass. P&C insurance carriers,

Liberty Mutual Insurance has won the 2018 Digital Workplace of the Year Award.  presented annually during the Digital Workplace Experience event held in Chicago, Ill. The award honors companies who have excelled in creating well-executed, high performing digital workplace environments. Liberty Mutual was selected for the its creation and implementation of it “digital assistant” that simplifies an employees’ day by managing their to-do lists, notifications, approvals, workflows, messaging and social media in a single, modern, and intelligent intuitive interface.

“Liberty Mutual really wowed our judges this year – with high scores across the award criteria,” said Paul Miller, CEO and Founder, Digital Workplace Group.  “We were especially impressed with their strategic approach, with a clear focus on simplifying employees lives and impressive features, including a personalized Digital Assistant, a Chatbot for IT help, and a mobile app for anywhere access.”

Liberty Mutual’s digital assistant was so successful with its employees that the company recently launched Workgrid Software, LLC – a wholly-owned company that creates and sells software solutions that are purpose-built for an enterprise.  Workgrid Software brings Workgrid Assistant to other companies to help them integrate common systems and tools found in the workplace and accelerate digital transformation without the cost and time of a complete technology overhaul

“The Digital Workplace award is one of the top in the industry and we are thrilled to receive this level of recognition for our Workgrid platform,” said James McGlennon, Liberty Mutual Insurance Chief Information Officer.  “What started as an internal digital transformation initiative has quickly become an industry-leading platform that brings together technology, culture and the physical work space to continuously improve the employee experience.”

Workgrid Assistant is easily customizable, making it one of the most ready-to-use, flexible employee-enablement platforms on the market to date and its modern interface and functionality was designed specifically to solve for the loss of productivity and engagement due to the complexity of the employee experience in a large enterprise—but applicable to companies of all sizes.
