Ed Ruhl Joins Insurance Services of New England
Ed Ruhl has joined the Insurance Services of New England as its new Manager of Membership Sales. Founded in 1998, Insurance Services of New England, LLC or (ISNE) is a network of independent agents that was created so that agencies could employ their “…size, scale and combined resources to benefit customers, communities, company partners and agency members.” The agency network currently counts 51 member agencies located in approximately 81 Locations across Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine.
In commenting on his appointment to ISNE Mr. Ruhl noted that this is “…An exciting new role working with independent agents throughout New England.” In this new capacity, he will be able to leverage his more than three decades worth of experience in the Massachusetts insurance industry, that majority of which has been spent as Zone Vice President with The Hanover Insurance Company.

Ryan McMahon Named Vice President of Marketing at Cambridge Mobile Telematics
Ryan McMahon has joined Cambridge Mobile Telematics as its Vice President of Marketing. Mr. Mahon officially joined CMT in the fourth quarter of 2018 from Plymouth Rock Assurance, where he held various Field and Corporate Marketing Leadership Roles and ran the More Than Just Insurance platform. He also was instrumental in introducing the company’s telematics-based rewards program.
He has also held various leadership roles with both The Hanover and Acadia Insurance. and has worked in claims, product, corporate and field marketing for both personal and commercial lines carriers. He has an MBA from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a BA in Psychology from The State University of New York at Potsdam.

Lloyd’s appoints former United States Senator as new member of the Council
Lloyd’s confirmed the appointment of former United States Senator John E. Sununu as a new member of its Council for a three-year term, beginning February 6, 2019. During his tenure in the Senate, John served on the Senate Banking Committee, where he actively prioritised insurance issues, and the Senate’s subcommittee on Science, Technology and Innovation.
He now acts as a senior policy advisor for Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, an international law firm headquartered in Washington, and holds office as a non-executive director for the publicly traded companies Boston Scientific Corporation and Afiniti Inc. He holds Engineering degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and earned his Master of Business degree from Harvard University.
His appointment to the Council ensures that Lloyd’s has outstanding US political and regulatory experience to draw from, which is essential for the significant amount of business Lloyd’s does in the US. John’s experience and ongoing interest in technology and innovation will also help Lloyd’s seize new opportunities in the digital world.

Corvus Insurance promotes Mike Lloyd
Bostinno is reporting that Corvus Insurance has promoted Mr. Lloyd from Vice President of Operations to Chief Product Officer.
According to Mr. Lloyd’s LinkedIn Profile, he was previously a co-founder and Vice President of Operations, having helped launch the insurtech in 2017. Mr. Lloyd joined Corvus from Poncho Insurance, where he was the CEO and Founder. Poncho Insurance was an online P&C personal-lines insurance agency that was acquired by Rogers & Gray Insurance Agency in 2016. I
A graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with and M.S. in Building Technology, Mr. Lloyd also holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship from the Harvard Business School.
