The biennial award presents the winner with a $33,000 (30,000 EUR) prize
Fundación MAPFRE, MAPFRE’s non-profit foundation has announced a call for applications for its 10th annual Julio Castelo Matrán International Insurance Award. The award, which seeks to recognize those “who spread insurance activity and contribute to economic stability,” is awarded biennially.
According to the official announcement, the following criteria is used in selecting the winner:
- Particular value is placed on projects whose outcomes contribute to expanding insurance activities in society and foster economic stability and solidarity through Insurance and/or Social Protection.
- Scientific studies should be unpublished or have been published in the last three years and should provide knowledge about the industry. It is also important that the work can be undertaken in other countries or regions.
Candidates have until June 30, 2020 to submit their applications
Anyone who feels they have been able to contribute to the way insurance is perceived through sharing knowledge is welcomed to apply.
