Arbella Celebrated Mr. Bellotti’s Birthday at its Quincy Headquarters on May 9th
On Tuesday May 9th, the lobby of the Arbella Insurance Group headquarters in Quincy, MA was abuzz with excitement and filled to the brim as well-wishers gathered to celebrate the remarkable 100th birthday of Frank Bellotti, co-founder of Arbella Insurance and former state Attorney General. Bellotti played a major role in the creation of Arbella, a regional property and casualty insurance company in New England, in the 1980s when Kemper Insurance Group announced its intentions to withdraw from the Massachusetts auto market. Today, Arbella Insurance is approaching $1 billion in revenue and is one of the top mutual insurance firms in the state. Arbella is an A-rated company by AM Best.
For Bellotti’s celebration, the air was filled with joy as everyone came together to honor his extraordinary journey. Hundreds of Arbella employees gathered in the multilevel lobby to sing happy birthday and celebrated with party hats and confetti in his honor. The triple layer birthday cake was created by George Montilio, long- term business acquaintance of Bellotti and owner of Montilios Bakery in Quincy. The energy in the room was palpable, reflecting the immense respect and gratitude for Bellotti’s contributions to the community. It was a fitting tribute to a man who has dedicated his life to public service and inspired generations with his unwavering commitment to excellence.
Elected as lieutenant governor of Massachusetts in 1962, Bellotti later served three terms as state attorney general and made three gubernatorial runs. Throughout his long career, he received numerous accolades. Bellotti’s century of life is marked not only by his remarkable achievements but also by his enduring spirit and the indelible impact he has made on the legal, insurance and political landscape of Massachusetts.
