The Claims Journal reported this week that Actor Tom Hanks and his wife, Rita Wilson have filed suit against their former insurance broker for an unspecified amount of damages.
The website TMZ was the first to pick up on the story, stating that the J. B. Goldman Insurance Agency had been the couple’s insurance agent for more than 20 years helping them to secure various insurance coverages including homeowners, directors and other business policies. Last month, however, when the actors decided to switch brokers, the new broker discovered that the Hanks had been insured multiple times for the same things and were being “overcharged hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of dollars.”
