An Easy, Affordable and Annual Opportunity for Agents to Connect with Their Auto Insurance Clients

September 12, 2011 by AC Editor

MA Insurance News, Agency ChecklistsOn Friday, the RMV announced that it will be holding its annual Low License Plate Lottery on Tuesday, September 13 on Dan Rea’s “Nightside” program on WBZ-AM 1030.  You can tune in starting at 8pm.  As the RMV explained Applicants in this year’s drawing will be vying for 161 of the most sought after Massachusetts license plates, including 67, T7, Y11 and Z44.

All entries had to have been mailed and postmarked by August 8, 2011. Winners who do not register their vehicle with their winning lottery plate by December 31, 2011 will automatically forfeit their plate. All forfeited plates will be offered to a list of 25 alternate winners who will be chosen at the drawing.

Looking forward, Agency Checklists suggests that this a golden opportunity for agents.  There are a lot of insureds out there who would love to have entered this lottery. Most, however, might not know it exists or when it occurs or how to enter. Think about sending out a reminder next year to your clients to see if they are interested in entering the lottery and how they can do it.  In the post-script you can also let them know when they need to renew their policy.
