Peerless Insurance Appoints Mike McUne to Marketing Vice President

February 2, 2012 by Owen Gallagher

FEB. 2, 2012 – Peerless Insurance announced the appointment of Mike McUne to vice president, Marketing.  In his new position, Mr. McUne will be responsible for the company’s marketing strategy and execution. In addition, he will be coordinating agency distribution management, administration of agent incentive plans, and the development of Peerless’ 18 territory managers and three agency specialists which span an eight-state territory.

“Mike joins Peerless with strong front-line marketing and sales execution experience, and a great understanding of the local agency relationship model that sets us apart in the market,” said Mike Christiansen, president and chief executive officer, Peerless Insurance. “He will work closely with our regional vice presidents towards furthering our goal to continue profitably growing our small to mid-market commercial lines business.”

Mr. McUne earned his B.A. degree in Business and Economics from Lewis & Clark College and a M.B.A. from Marylhurst University.  Mr. McUne comes to Peerless Insurance from Liberty Northwest, a Liberty Mutual Agency Corporation regional company based in Portland, Oregon.  Since 2007, he had been a marketing consultant and supervising business analyst with that company.
